About the event

Strange Field will be hosting a series of workshops ran by artists Maria-Cristina Onea, Chris Roberts and musician Jago Oswell exploring Pauline Oliveros’ practice of Deep Listening and the creation of sculptural sound objects from reclaimed materials.


Participants will take part in listening exercises, learn sound-making techniques, and build their own sound-producing objects using industrial found materials. All materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring objects of your own that you believe may produce interesting sounds.


No prior experience required. All welcome.


This series of workshops will run from Saturday November 1st to Monday, November 3rd, 11am to 1pm each day.



Sonic Relics is a sound and sculpture project exploring the transformation of reclaimed industrial materials into sculptural sound objects.
