About the event

SOLIDARITY IS SOMETHING YOU CAN HOLD IN YOUR HANDS


On Friday the 24th of October from 6-10pm,  Rupture and Solidarity Screenings will stage a screening of three short films at Strange Field in Glasgow’s East End. The curation will broadly reflect on the themes of internationalism and revolutionary violence. Covering Ireland, Palestine and Cuba, the programme will show how filmmaking can observe, reflect on and contribute to international solidarity.


The films will be introduced with a presentation by Rupture and Solidarity Screenings members framing the films and our collaboration. Following the films a warm (gluten-free & vegan) meal will be served with space for guided discussion.


The event overall takes place to raise funds for Gaza; as the slogan of the screening suggests: solidarity is something material.
