About the event
River Walk is a performance piece to draw and imprint movements as an action-painting through choreography. Through the artist's long-term research on the practice of Gutai, a Japanese post-war art collective, River Walk explores the intersection of dance and visual art. The artist takes a long and slow walk with trails left on the floor. Various ways of walking and traveling create an image of rivers and fluidity.
BIO: River Lin is a performance artist and curator working across the contexts of visual art, dance and queer culture. He stages live works in gallery settings as choreography, encounters or situations to perform notions of revisiting histories, personal archives and social engagement with the queer lens. He was nominated for the ANTI Live Art Prize in 2022.
