I am happy you are here - Strange Field studio holders' exhibition

Strange Field presents I am happy you are here, an exhibition of new works by ten studio holders 

Strange Field, an artist-led organisation embedded in the community of Glasgow's East End, will present their first studio holder exhibition since French Street’s opening in 2021 from 21 January until 2 February. 

Strange Field’s French Street venue in Dalmarnock is widely known for its interdisciplinary programme, encompassing contemporary art, music, experimental workshops, and performance. Less visible, but integral to its creative community, are the first-floor artist studios.

For its first exhibition of 2026, Strange Field will celebrate these spaces and their inhabitants. Marking two major milestones - the first studio-holder exhibition since the venue’s opening in 2021 and the first to occupy two floors following Strange Field’s full acquisition of the building in 2025 - ten resident artists will present a multi-disciplinary body of work, including painting, drawing, installation, video, and music.
