About the event
The carving up of Syria by imperialist powers has accelerated to an unprecedented pace since the fall of the Baβathist government in December 2024. From the US-backed HTS committing countless atrocities to the Turkish-backed SNA attempting to extinguish the revolution in Rojava. We are collaborating with Scottish Solidarity With Kurdistan to bring you an evening of solidarity.
We will begin the evening with a presentation running us through the history of Rojava and update on the current situation in the region. Following that will watch a short and a feature film, engaging with historic and contemporary expressions of peopleβs resistance for dignity and freedom. We will end the night with live music and discussion. We hope you join us to raise funds, to celebrate resistance, and to honour life - to show that the people, and the people alone, are the makers of history.
